Mrs. Greene's oldest daughter, Mackenzie, came in to spend the day with our class. We were all excited to have her volunteer in our class.
Nick was SUPER surprised to see his grandmother was our Mystery Reader! His grandmother read Happy Easter George. A wonderful way to celebrate Nick's birthday! Carson LOVES when her parents come in to read to our class! This time she was surprised by her daddy. She thought dad needed to spice up his outfit with her beautiful headband. Dad was a good sport and let the teacher take his picture anyway. :) He read Have Fun Molly Lou Melon. Thank you Mr. Gaddy for sharing your time with us! The clues were read and almost the whole clas thought the Mystery Reader belong to them. :) Carson was excited to see it was her mom. She read a few really fun books. Duck On A Bike, Amelia Bedelia and Sylvester and the Magic Pebble. (One of Mrs. Gaddy's favorite books from her childhood) Thank you Mrs. Gaddy for sharing your time with our class. Before the first clue was completely read Hadley knew it was her daddy! She was beaming when he walked in the class. Mr. Cooper read a fun book called Muncha, Muncha, Muncha. Thank you Mr. Coooper for sharing your time with us. Everyone really enjoyed your visit! Meet Denver Sicay! Denver is a childhood friend of Ms. Tosten. Ms. Tosten was the one who got the BIG surprise for Mystery Reader this time! Denver came all the way from Dominica to visit and read to our class. He read one of our favorite books If You Give A Moose A Muffin! We were all excited to meet Denver! Thank you Denver for sharing your time with our class. Thank you everyone for making Ms. Tosten's birthday a HUGE success! She loved all the flowers and the sweet words your student wrote to her. She loved all the orange. What a GREAT day! Jacob was SUPER surprised when he found out our Mystery Redader was his big brother Max! Max was a student in our class last year and now is a first grader. Max read two fun books Go Dog Go and Green Eggs and Ham. Max did a great job reading! We all enjoyed Max's visit! Grayson was so happy to see her mom and her big sister Taylor were our Mystery Readers! Taylor was a student in our class a couple of years ago. She is a big third grader now! They read two great books. I think everyone's favorite was a book called Grayson. How fun to have a book named after you! Thank you Mrs. Miller and Taylor for sharing your time with our class. Maeve couldn't stop smiling when her she found out her Dad was our Mystery Reader! We all enjoyed the St. Patrick's Day book he read. Mr. McCormack's leprechaun hat was a BIG hit!
