All the children had a wonderful time during Winter Centers. Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers. We could not have done it with out you! Ms. Blaise ( CoCo's mom ) came in to teach our P.M. class abour Kwanzaa. She read the book Li'l Rabbit's Kwanzaa. She taught us about the seven principles of Kwanzaa. Kuumba/Creativity, Imani/Faith and Ujamaa/Cooperative Economics. Those are just a few of the principles we learned about. Thank you Ms. Blais for coming in and teaching us about Kwanzaa. Tymir's mom, Mrs. Johnson and a friend Desharra Walton came to visit our A.M. class to share the traditions of Kwanzaa. We learned about the seven principles of Kwanzaa. A few of the principles we learned are Umojo/Unity, Kujichagulia/Self-Determination and Nia/Purpose. Thank you Mrs. Johnson and Ms. Walton for coming in and teaching us about Kwanzaa. Maeve's dad Dr. McCormack came in to talk to our P.M. class about being a doctor and working at a hospital. He even showed us how to help someone with a broken arm or broken leg. The children had lots of questions and were very excited to have Dr. McCormack visit our class.
Thursday, December 19th is Holiday Sparkle and Glitz/Holiday Hat or Headband Day.
Mrs. McCormack taught us about celebrating Hanukkah. We did a fun art activity and received coins to take home. Thank you Mrs. McCormack for coming in!
