Thank you so much to all of the families who came out to watch our Thanksgiving play Just a quick reminder that tomorrow on Tuesday, November 26th, your Kindergarteners will be doing a play called "Hooray For Thanksgiving." The AM class will start at 10:00 a.m. and the PM class will start at 2:00 p.m. We hope you can come. Looking forward to seeing you there!!!
What a GREAT surprise! Cate's big sister Sammy and friend Ava ( former students of Ms. Tosten and Mrs. Greene ) were our Mystery Reders for our AM class. Cate was very surprised. The girls took turns reading There Is a Bird on Your Head. They did a fantastic job! Thank you Mrs. Callis for sharing Sammy and Ava with our class. Grayson was right when she guessed our Mystery Reader was her mom. She was very excited. Mrs. Miller read two fun book Fancy Nancy and the Book Report and Splat the Cat Takes the Cake. The students really enjoyed both books but Splat the Cat was the clear favorite. Thank you Mrs. Miller for coming in it put a huge smile on Grayson's face. The clues were read and Hadley guessed that it was her Aunt Amy. She was so excited to see she was right. Everyone enjoyed the book A Plump and Perky Turkey. Aunt Amy even wore a really cool turkey hat. After the story all the children were ready to share what they are thankful for this year. We think Aunt Amy was a BIG hit.! Nate J. couldn't be fooled. He knew right away who was coming through the door as our Mystery Reader today. Mrs. Johnson AKA Grandma read a great book called Thanksgiving Day THANKS. The children really enjoyed the book and after the story shared what they were all thankful for this year. It was great to have "Grandma" visit our class today! The clues were read but we couldn't trick Jacob. He was so excited to see his Mom and Dad were our Mystery Readers! They read a fun book called Skippyjon Jones. Mom and Dad even added a little Spanish touch to their story telling. Everyone really enjoyed their visit. Carson was just beamimg when she saw her mom was our Mystery Reader. But as a special surprise her brother Tucker came to read to our class too! The first book was Michaels's Golden Rules and the second book ( one of Mrs. Green's childhood favorites ) was Curious George Goes To The Hospital. Tucker and his mom took turns reading the book to the class. We loved having both of them come in to read to our class. There will be no school for students on Tuesday, November 5th. See everyone back on Wednesday.
