The clues were read and EVERYONE knew it was CoCo's mom! What a great way to celebrate CoCo's birthday! Ms. Blaise read two fun books. Everyone enjoyed RC was SUPER excited his mom came to read to our class. She read Sitting Down To Eat. A fun book about an elephant. RC's favorite animal. A great surprise for RC on his birthday! Kate was so happy to see our Mystery Reader was her mom and sister Ellie! Everyone enjoyed listening to the stories. Thank you Mrs. McCallister and Ellie for sharing your time with us! The clues were read and alot of friends thought it was their mom but Neil had the guessed right! As a special surprise his brother came, too. Ms. Weatherhead read some great books. I think everyone's favorite was Corduroy. Thank you Ms. Weatherhead for spending time with our class. Lexee was so excited to see her Grandmother was our Mystery Reader! Mrs. McDonald read a class favorite, Pete The Cat And His Four Groovey Buttons! We had a great time. Thank you for coming in to share with our class. Mrs. Ervin surprised Christopher as our Mystery Reader! She read three fun books. Everyone really enjoyed all the books. Thank you Mrs. Ervin for visiting our class. Carson was SUPER happy to see her mom was our Mystery Reader! She lots of fun books. She read Little Honey Bear and the Smiley Moon, Baby Baboon, Do Like A Duck Does and a classroom favorite Bear Wants More. Thank you Mrs. Gaddy for visiting our room. Chris was excited to see his mom and brother Tucker were our Mystery Readers! We all enjoyed the book Mrs. Hall read. Thank you Mrs. Hall for sharing your time with our class.

Is it a Need or a Want? What a great question! May is Financial Awareness Month. Lexee's Grandmother and a special guest from Wells Fargo came in to share information about needs and wants. The kids had a great time discussing things that are a need; water, food, shelter and clothing. Then discussed our wants; ice cream, television, toys and bikes. Thank you to our special guests for sharing their time and a great lesson with our class. Gabe knew right away his mom was our Mystery Reader! He was so excited! Mrs. Long read three great books. One was a class favorite Stone Soup and another was I Need My Monster ( the monster's name was Gabe, everyone thought that was GREAT! ) Thank you Mrs. Long for sharing your time with our class. We all enjoyed your visit. A TREMENDOUS thank you to Ms. Tosten's mom, sister, and Soldier Kelley for helping with our AM science lab. We would not been able go to all the centers without all of their help! We had a great time working with water. Thank you so much Mrs. Gaddy, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Long, Mrs. McCormack and Mrs. MaCallister for being our AMAZING volunteers. The science lab was a HUGE success with your help. The kids loved learning We are learning about the parts of a plant and what a plant needs to grow. We have lima beans in our greenhouse and are waiting for them to sprout!
